Dr. Jane N. Mokaya is the founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Peace and Conflict Research Advocacy. She has a passion for Conflict Resolution and Peace Building. Dr. Mokaya has worked for the less fortunate in society as a social worker, which was the reason for her studying conflict resolution to minimize suffering particularly refugees. She aspires to see a world free of conflict. Dr. Mokaya earned a PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution Studies with a concentration in International Peace and Conflict, Master of Science in Conflict Analysis and Resolution (MA) from Nova Southeastern University, Florida, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Non-Profit Management from Anderson University, Indiana, Bachelor of Science in Social Work,and a certificate in Case Management from Indiana University- Purdue University Indianapolis, Indiana and a certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from Kenya Institute of Management. Dr. Mokaya has immense experience working with refugees and Children. Her doctoral research was on Women Refugees from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) resettled in Indianapolis. Dr. Mokaya worked in Ukraine since August 2019. She was with Peace Corps as an NGO Advisor at Spilna Sprava dealing with Internally Displaced People (IDPs) from Eastern Ukraine living in Western Ukraine. Dr. Mokaya also taught on Peace and Conflict Studies: Theory and Practice at Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University at Vinnytsia city in Ukraine
